ISO9001 / 2000
SIS has had in place a Quality Management System since 1997. Initially non UKAS certification, the system was comprehensively updated in 2005 to comply with ISO9001/2000 and Lloyds Register / UKAS primarily to satisfy the stringent quality management requirements for MOD contracts.
CAI
The Confederation of Aerial Industries regulates the working standards of its members. All members are listed in the CAI Members directory. Members qualified to carry out commercial installation work have the additional line ‘CAI Approved SMATV Installer’ at the end of their entry. The CAI runs training courses, publishes codes of practice, and generally represents the interests of its members.
SIS has been a member of the CAI since 1989 and in 1995 won the coveted CAI business of the year award. (Link to CAI website )
CSCS and CCNSG
Construction Skills Certification Scheme and Client / Contractor National Safety Group.
All SIS employees hold the above cards / qualification for working on construction sites.
We provide Site Specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments as required.
B-Sky-B / Sky Homes
Sky has a vested interest in ensuring that TV systems are installed to the highest possible standard. If reception is poor or unreliable Sky's subscription income will suffer. To this end, Sky publishes precise specifications and lists selected equipment suppliers for Integrate TV Reception Systems. SIS are one of around fifty companies in the UK specifically recommended by Sky Homes for the installation of Integrated Reception Systems. We also act as agents to provide and install the Sky receiver. Because we are “end to end” suppliers, we are then ideally placed to quickly resolve any problems arising.
DTG
The Digital TV Group has published a series of technical manuals outlining the general requirements and performance parameters for Digital Terrestrial TV and in particular the design considerations for Communal TV systems.(Click for DTG Spec)
Project Completion / Certification / Documentation
SIS uses the latest Spectrum Analysers to Commission TV Systems. Data logging of test results is the latest innovation for the Industry. This effectively provides a precise list of signal measurements at key points throughout a TV system validating its operation and performance. These results can be referenced to the specifications provided by Sky Homes. SIS provides summary completion reports and detailed data logged test results for each project.
Qualifications
All senior members of staff are qualified to City and Guilds Standard. Additionally, our technicians attend regular external and in house training courses.
